HOW TO USE LEARNING EXPRESS

If anyone is feeling overwhelmed by having to help their kids, grandchildren, and other family and friends during this difficult time, our staff at the Millville Public Library are here to help. Though our doors are currently closed, we have a FREE virtual resource that can help kids and adults get their school work and college courses completed: Learning Express.

*Note: Learning Express is easier to use on a tablet, laptop, or computer.

Here’s how to get started:

  1. You will need a Millville Public Library (MPL) library card to sign up for Learning Express. If you don’t have a library card, you can head to the About Us section of our website: www.millvillepubliclibrary.org. Fill out a Contact Us form, and we will set up a virtual MPL card for you.

  2. Once you have your MPL card, you can access Learning Express from our MPL Library website. Across the top of the page, you will see the tabs, “Home,” “About Us,” “About You…”, etc., Hover your mouse over the tab, “Free Resources, Databases, & More.” Click on Learning Express (You will see it in the second column).

  3. Click on “Click Here to Access.” Next, you will have to Sign In/Register. You will need to register with your email address and create a password to access Learning Express. Write your password down so you don’t forget it!

  4. If your child/grandchild is in elementary school, middle school, or high school, you will click on the “School Center” box. Each subject will give you options for each grade level: elementary school is 1st - 5th grade, middle school is 6th - 8th grade, and high school is 9th - 12th grade (high school is categorized by subject, except for English which is categorized by grade levels).

  5. Explore each topic. If you can’t find a certain subject you are looking for, try typing it in the search box in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

  6. Those who are starting college soon, or interested in a new career path: check out the various career preparation and college placement sections to discover which entrance exams are needed to pursue specific careers. Utilize the search box at the top of the screen when looking up exams, majors, and courses.

  7. If you need any help with using Learning Express contact us by going to www.millvillepubliclibrary.org. Go to the About Us section of the website. Fill out a Contact Us form, or send us an email at contactus@millvillepubliclibrary.org, and we will get back to you by email.
