v Forgot your card? : We will look up your card number a limited number of times. There is a $.50 charge and you must show proper ID to check out items. We will NOT look up your library card for computer use. If you forget your PIN number you MUST have your library card and proper ID.
v Replacement Card: Your first card is free. If it is lost or stolen, there is a $3.00 charge for a new one. You must provide proper identification.
v Non Resident Card: This library is financially supported by Cumberland County Residents. If you live outside the county a card is $40.00 per year. You may be asked to provide a county tax bill.
v Temporary Resident Card: Valid ID and a $10.00 fee for use of the library for a 3 month period.
v Hold Requests: Patrons in good standing may put items on hold. We will telephone you when the item is available at which time you will have 3-5 days to pick it up. Limit of 5 hold requests at one time.
v Interlibrary Loans: Patrons in good standing may request items from libraries outside the county to be sent to Millville. Items are borrowed for 2 weeks only and cannot be renewed.
v Video/DVD Loans: You must be 18 years of age to borrow entertainment DVDs/Videos. Juveniles and Young Adults may borrow instructional DVDs/Videos.
v Overdue Notices: Mailed when an item is 2 weeks late. You are responsible for the postage fee.
v Deposit Books: A $20.00 cash deposit is required along with a valid library card. Books can be renewed one time. Receipt must be returned for refund. Refund will be forfeited if the book is not returned within 1 week after notice is mailed.
v Lost or Damaged Items: In addition to the replacement cost of the item, there is a $5.00 processing fee plus postage per item. Patrons cannot purchase a replacement copy. Lost books cannot be returned after 6 months without the approval of the director. If a lost item is paid for and then found within 6 months, and you have your receipt, it will be up to the discretion of the director to authorize a refund. Refund checks are mailed for the cost of the item only. Processing fees and postage are not refundable.
v Returning Items: Books borrowed from our Library, other than thru Interlibrary Loan, can be returned to any of the other CLUES Libraries. Books from other libraries can be returned to Millville. Videos, DVDs, compact discs, and audio books from other libraries, with the exception of Vineland Public Library, may be returned to Millville.
v Book Drop: Available along the main entrance for books only. DO NOT leave audio books, compact discs, DVDs or videos in the book drop or you will be charged $1.00. You are responsible for items placed in the book drop if they are lost or damaged.
v Suspension of Library Privileges: 5 overdue items, owe $15.00 or incorrect address. Parent’s cards will be blocked of they owe money on their children’s cards. Also at the discretion of the Library Director for misuse of equipment of misbehavior. Cards will also be blocked for using someone else’s card for internet use. The SAM system will not allow you on the computer if you owe any fines, have overdue items or your card has expired.
